With over 25 years’ experience in the live entertainment industry, Matt has contributed to a wide range of internationally acclaimed productions.
Recent work includes Karlin Musical Theatre’s production of Frozen in Prague, the French-language production of Chicago the Musical in Paris, Grease at Dubai Opera House, and international productions of Chicago across China, Eastern Europe, South Africa, and the UK. His longstanding association with Chicago extends to productions in Madrid, Dubai, Tel Aviv, London, multiple international tours, and Mexico, where his work was recognised with the Teatro Best Sound Design award.
Further theatre credits include West Side Story (Sydney Opera House, Australian and international tours), Sweet Charity (Athens), Priscilla Queen of the Desert (UK tours, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv, Athens), Fiddler on the Roof (Athens), and Steel Magnolias (UK tour).
Matt works extensively across major international live events, including recent returns to Glastonbury Festival’s The Other Stage and the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Since 2016, he has been part of the team delivering the Teenage Cancer Trust’s annual concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, overseeing audio for performances by artists including Ed Sheeran, Liam Gallagher, Kasabian, The Who, The Corrs, and more recently Elbow, Garbage and Wolf Alice.
Matt has extensive experience mixing for a diverse roster of artists, including John Grant, Amy Macdonald, Jamie Scott, Iain Archer, Katy B, One Eskimo, Lee Ryan, Gareth Gates, Pixie Lott, and Kubb. His systems expertise has supported artists such as Little Simz, Ian Brown, Bicep, Girl in Red, Erykah Badu, Tindersticks, Blur, Duran Duran, Elvis Costello, and Super Furry Animals. He has also produced live recordings for Universal Music, Sony BMG, Endemol, and iTunes.
His broadcast work includes The Big Breakfast (2001–2003), alongside televised and radio performances with the above artists, including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and BBC Radio 2.
